The Reverend Jason Shelton is a composer, arranger, conductor, singer, multi-instrumentalist, workshop and retreat leader and Associate Minister for Music at the First Unitarian Universalist Church in Nashville, Tennessee, where he has served since 1998. His compositions have been performed in churches and concert halls throughout North America, and his workshops for choirs, musicians and ministers are helping to redefine music ministry in the liberal religious tradition for the 21st century.

Summer 2008 - The website has gotten its semi-annual update! Apologies to those who had virus trouble with the site recently. I have no idea what happened, and neither does my ISP. I hope it's fixed now. Look for downloads of Sources scores in that section, as well as newly published works from Santa Barbara Music and Yelton Rhodes Music.
We are expecting the arrival of our 2nd daughter in late August. Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers during this time of excitement and expectation.

October 5, 2008 - I will be installed as the first Associate Minister for Music at my church.
November 2008 - I am once again rehearsing Ochestra Nashville's Gospel Choir for their upcoming Thanksgiving concert. I will also be writing the choral arrangements for most of the pieces being performed - a program called "The Nashville Hits" and featuring the amazing Take 6.
